Inspiration:
Boba was a big part of growing up as an Asian American. The drink served as a causal hangout with friends or a place to go to celebrate the small achievements in life. It was a something that I had experienced for as long as I could remember. I wanted to explore why this drink seemed to be so prevalent in my childhood and many others.
I wanted to look into the origins of the drink and how it came to be. How it came across to america and became such a staple in my upbringing. Its impact on Asian American culture today and how it might continue to grow in the future.
