Problem:

With an increase in Government subsided housing projects around the world, these newly built houses need a way to be furnised with functional and verstile furniture for the future residents. How can furniture be designed to work in a variety of ways to suit the residents while still being cost effective?

Goal:

Design verstile and functional furniture for the residents of subsided housing.

Ideation:

Furniture is traditonally tailored for only its intended purpose. Chairs are meant to be sat in and beds are meant to be slept in. There is not much versatility to their uses. This is a non-issue for most people, however when it comes to subsidised housing projects, buying specific furniture for each unit can be very costly.

With this design I hope to alleveate some of the burden by creating adaptable units that can be rearragned to fit the needed function. Providing the means for a vareity of set ups in these housings and offering a more customizble living environment for the residents, without creating unwanted extra costs of indivdual static pieces of furniture.
